After suffering from a nail trauma, the patient’s nail started to become ingrown and painful. The nail also became infected with nail fungus. The initial complaint of the patient was for the ingrown toenail, but after the initial consultation we discussed treating both at the same time. The ingrown toenail will be permanently removed and the remaining fungal nail will be completely removed but allowed to grow back.
